Speakers with inspiring stories of perseverance and resilience helped reduce the stigma around mental health and addiction from the Events United studio in Derry, NH.

 

The lineup included Angels of Addictions Founder Anne Marie Zanfagna and Anchored in Hope founder Terry Stamas Everett, sharing their strength and hope following the loss of their daughters to addiction.

Dr. Cynthia Lawson Whitaker, CEO of Greater Nashua Mental Health, offered an encouraging message about the importance of relationships and cultivating compassion for each other in times of disconnection.

Piers Kaniuka, founder of Resistance Recovery, gave a stirring testimony for the need to build communities that support our most basic and fundamental human needs.

 

Cheryle Pacapelli, Project Director for Peer Recovery Support Services at Harbor Care, provided a compelling personal recovery story that emphasizes the importance of immediacy in access to care for addiction.

Jessica Parnell and Natacha Smith from Revive Recovery shared the stage to promote a positive and hopeful message about the promises and blessings of recovery.

 

Timothy McMahan King, author of Addiction Nation, presented a thought provoking look at the needs of society to recognize and respond to the peril we are facing if we fail to act on the underlying causes of addiction.

Robbie Spencer, a mental health activist and speaker, delivered a captivating message of strength, perseverance and resiliency when faced with the most challenging obstacles life can present.

 

Musical performances by Decatur Creek throughout the night invoked a spirited harmony that rejuvenated the soul, while hip hop artist Ethyric & B. Snair showcased their entrancing piece, Addiction & Recovery.

Join us in support of 10,000 Candles 2021 with a live performance by The Youngsters and Decatur Creek on Thursday, June 17th from 8pm to 9:30pm at The REX Theatre in Manchester, NH. We are raising money to support the 10,000 Candles 2021 remembrance event taking place in August of this year.
